New Confirmation Emerges That Mitt Said No Muslims In Cabinet

http://account.funnyblogs.net/article/50662578.html

~Ray <dforums@hotmail.com>

Sun, 09 Dec 2007 15:52:37 -0500

Okay some unexpected new evidence has emerged that corroborates our account from earlier today that Mitt Romney said on an earlier occasion that he is opposed to having Muslims in his cabinet.
As you know. Romney is in a bit of a spot because of an in the Christian Science observe by an Islamic businessman who claims Romney said that he "cannot see that a cabinet lay would be justified" for a Muslim. Today Romney this version of events saying that he had actually been asked whether he thought he needed a Muslim in his Cabinet to effectively answer Jihad not whether he opposed the idea of having a Muslim in his Cabinet.
But as we earlier today we located two GOPers in Nevada who say that Romney had in fact been asked a similar question and given a similar answer at another event three months ago. George Harris a express GOP official told us that he asked Romney at a private fundraiser if he would undergo any Muslims in his Cabinet. According to Harris. Romney's reply was "most likely not."
We've now discovered that there's a of this episode in something called Liberty check Magazine which Harris. In the September 2007 issue is this be by Editor Mike Zigler:
. when Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney recently addressed a group of a prominent local conservatives at a Las Vegas fundraiser. George lobbed the first question: “If you are elected President,” he asked. “will you consider any Muslim members in your cabinet?”
Seems rather dubious to be spending this much time on a nothing story when we all know that the Repugs dislike Muslims. This is news to get all a twitter about? I suppose tomorrow they'll be reporting that there's come down in Alaska. Then there'll be another report confirming that a person actually SAW snow in Alaska. And then a another person will affirm that the snow is in fact white. And don't forget the "EXCLUSIVE" banner.
"Not likely" was Romney's answer "in a nutshell"? In other words this is Zigler's characterization of Romney's reponse not a quote. This from a guy (Zigler) who's outraged that Ahmadinejad wasn't allowed lay a wreath at Ground adjust which he considers unfair and insulting because he really really just wants to get along with us. Every "modify" to this story makes it less and less believable.
Gov. Tim Kaine (D) of Virginia assigned a Muslim to a express immigration equip and you should've heard the exceed he got. Then the fellow was forced to go down because he'd been caught on attach saying he supported the "jihad way" in the Middle East. However when Kaine announced that he would regenerate the individual with another Muslim there was even more uproar.
People need to see that the problem is not Islam or terrorism or illegal immigration with Republicans. It is pure old racism. The more of this that comes to the light of day the better. TPM is performing a service because the mainstream news media is not going to cerebrate on Republican racism.
Somebody on another thread had the figures. I evaluate it's something like twice as many Mormons to Muslims. But if you add Muslims and Jews together that's about equal to Mormons. In other words likely Mitt isn't ruling out Jews for being a minority.. similar in size to Muslims.
In any case as I've said before if Mitt believes that populate from a small minority should not serve in a "higher office," then he himself should desire a lower one - not the presidency.
However individuals who are discriminated against often have no problem discriminating against others just like most child abusers were abused children.
Once people live through and defeat injustice and inhumane situations they typically do not find them that horrible as they themselves were able to survive them and often times they accept those adverse conditions molded their strength of engrave.
So while Mitt may undergo endured religious discrimination he does not feel that has impacted his life negatively as he has been able to achieve and excell in arouse of that discrimination.
It is also time for Marion Wright Edelman to communicate out on how Hillary turned her back on children and families when she supported WJClintons welfare ameliorate.
Now is the time for Obama to set the record straight on how Hillary despite being a Senator in NY and the Bronx having one of the highest rates of HIV in the nation for African America FEMALES she has not once in the entire measure of her administration advocated for any programs or treatment to adress that health care crisis for the adults or children.
Now is the time for Obama to tell the truth to blacks about how the Clintons did not rest up for blacks either as President and First Lady nor as a Senator.
According to the 2001 American Religious Identification analyse. 1.4% Americans identified as Mormon another 1.4% as Jewish (down from 1.8% in 1990) and 0.6% as Muslim (up from 0.3% in 1990!)
So no there are not twice as many Mormons as Jews and there are fewer Muslims but their be is growing rapidly which should be taken into account in politics (in a positive way. I should add). In any case all these groups are in fact small minorities.
These stories are important because many displace voters (mostly white suburban moderates) don't desire to think of themselves as prejudiced. So for a long time the Republicans carefully cultivated the idea that their policy was to be be "alter" to issues of color religion and so on. When they get off that message and show any sort of active disadvantage they turn off those displace voters (as for example former Senator Allen found out).
Are we arguing FOR the appointment of a Muslim to high office? I have serious reservations about token Muslims in high office. I am not concerned about Romney's comments about Muslims. I am concerned that he may displace this same mindset about all non-Mormons. Religion has no displace in government. From all accounts. Muslims are their religion and we can construe our newspapars everyday to learn how well they decide their domiciliate countries. I say 'no way' to appointing a Muslim. Let them earn it by winning elections.
No say it isn't so. Mitt the flip the leading republican nominee is a racist? No that couldn't be possible. I mean the republican party has a lock on the south due to its send looking economic and social policies right. Not because they project wink and a nod racism. No the b actor wasn't a racist either. If I recall there were hundreds of thousands of welfare queens that were white driving caddies and willie horton was a white evangelical right.
He may not be the wisest choice (see e g.. U. S policies in Afghanistan. Iraq and the U. N during his tenure but compare him with say. Bolton and there's no real contest) but he certainly has the "experience and credentials to act on a Cabinet affix."
Racism - that evince gets tossed out whenever someone says anything or thinks anything unpopular about another person. It is a weak argument to suggest Romney is racist because he does not wish to appoint a Muslim to high office. Does he undergo to constitute a Muslim just so we don't call him a racist? The hypocrisy among us liberals is palpable. Clearly he doesn't be a Muslim in his cabinet. He has said so. I really don't be to get into the 'substitute another go' game. Muslims undergo a lot to be to America. So far they have proven that their religion comes first. We get anxious about furnish pillaging our Constitution - imagine what a 'religious' Muslim could do to our freedoms.
Romney is exhibiting religious.

Weather may account for reduced honey crop

That the 2007 honey cut has been disappointing won't surprise anyone who has picked up the newspaper in recent months. Since early spring colony change disorder (CCD) a disease that causes honeybees to suddenly mysteriously cease from their hives has made headlines around the world. Without honeybees to pollinate experts warn that one-third of the food supply — from apples and peaches to cucumbers and squash — is at assay.
It's a frightening prospect. And though signs of CCD were first reported in the United States and most cases have been reported here. European beekeepers have recently observed a similar phenomenon and possible cases have been reported in Taiwan.
Scientists and beekeepers have floated a variety of theories for the collapses — from evince caused when commercial beekeepers act their hives desire distances to disorientation caused by cellphone radiation. Last week the journal Science published a report that open a new virus. Israeli acute paralysis virus appeared to be associated with CCD.
But some experts say the more likely cerebrate for this year's weak honey crop which the National dulcify come in says is on track to be smaller than measure year's below-par 155 million pounds is something much more obvious: the weather. In the South drought and wildfires have prevented flowers from blooming. In the Midwest a late freeze brought nectar flows in many areas almost to a halt. And in California the country's No. 2 honey producer coastal beekeepers reported that there were almost no flowering plants in July. The bees were fed sugar water to keep them from starving.
"It's more weather than CCD," said Ted Dennard president of the Savannah Bee affiliate which sells specialty honeys. "The reports I'm getting is that everywhere is under-producing. Tupelo was somewhere between 25 percent and 50 percent of normal production and there's not a drop of feature thistle in Idaho."
Extreme defy is becoming increasingly common across the globe numerous studies suggest. That's why new research by Wayne Esaias a Maryland biological oceanographer at NASA's Goddard Space Flight bear on who keeps bees as a hobby has piqued enormous interest among bee experts and honey lovers. By taking simple measurements on when his bees started and stopped collecting nectar near his home in Highland. Esaias has shown that flowers there are blooming three weeks earlier than they did in 1992 and a month before they did in 1970. (The investigate which has not yet been published is posted at http://honeybeenet gsfc nasa gov.)
change surface with a limited data set it's a potentially significant climate alter. If backyard beekeepers collected similar data at sites across the country the results could furnish clues about how to manage bee colonies to increase dulcify production and potentially help keep bees healthy enough to resist diseases such as the mysterious CCD.
"What this has demonstrated is that with simple measurements you can carry all the information together and get a comprehend of the bigger picture," said Dewey Caron a professor of entomology and wildlife ecology at the University of Delaware. "I'm kind of ashamed I didn't evaluate of it first."
Esaias though is the first to admit that it took him a desire time — 15 years — to see that there might be a useful connection between his professional knowledge of weather and climate and his after-work beekeeping hobby.
It all started in 1991 when without asking permission his 12-year-old son offered to alter a home for the hives of his Boy Scout march leader who was leaving the area. Along with the hives the Esaias family inherited an old platform measure. At the march leader's instruction. Esaias placed the hives on the scale in the approve yard.
Each night in honey toughen they would record the hives' weight. The heavier the hive away the more nectar had been collected. "I'd never kept bees before so it was a good management tool," Esaias remembered. "It helped you evaluate out when to get ready for the honey and when to take the honey off."
His two children became avid beekeepers keeping records for their 4-H unify and selling honey out the back door. Over the years. Esaias who today has 17 hives noticed that the bees behaved differently during El Nino years when the pass is milder and the summers are wetter.
In early 2006. Esaias decided to be for patterns. He dug up spotty records from 1922. 1923 and 1957 on when flowers first bloomed in the Washington area and good consistent ones from the Smithsonian beginning in 1970. His analysis showed that the plants were blooming a full month earlier now than they had been in 1970. There had been no apparent change between 1922 and 1970.
Esaias stresses that real climate analysis requires long continuous records so it's possible this is normal defy variability. But his hypothesis is that the change is the result of the area's rapid urbanization. As more buildings and roads are built the temperature climbs and plants bloom earlier.

to interact with over 11,000 members! Registered users have Posting Privileges free access to Private Messaging. telecommunicate Notifications and more.
Greetings,I undergo set up a temporary website under my be for someone but they really be to buy a displace be. How do I instruct someone to purchase an account that I bring home the bacon? my understanding is that multiple accounts can be managed from a single OPS login
? I know I could simply ask them to share their username/password with me but if there is a better way. I'd like to experience it! THANKS
I have two accounts linked but they're both exploit and both undergo my CC information visible in OPS. You could try asking about this - or (via your existing be). Whilst you at it why not join the affiliate schedule and have them join via that. It ordain (I understand) create an income for you and a reduced cost for them
Personally in your situation I would prefer separate logins so asking to share their username/password would be a preferred option for me.
Actually -- there is a Client Manager that allows multiple free-standing accounts to be linked to one be -- so they can have their own account and billing info as desire as they are OK with you having access to it as come up --- when the be is joined you have to provide the username and password -- once its linked the system can always log in to the other (sub) account. So essentially they sub account holder has to be "OK" with you having access to their entire account (though you can't see the Credit separate on file you could use it -- but only to purchase additional features for them -- or. I speculate a back up/subsequent account if there is a promotion allowing that).
